Highlights, lowlights, links, and what some might call light trolling – albeit tinged with genuine amazement that iPhone-totting hipsters would pose as anti-corporate revolutionaries – from the Mere Rhetoric Twitter stream:
NYC is lucky. Winter will solve #occupywallstreet soon. #OccupyLA can camp indefinitely, living on wheatgrass shots made from City Hall lawn

Someone should do breakdown of percent of #occupywallstreet tweets from Mac laptops, iPhones, or iPads. Call it “consumer profile” research
Someone forgot to tell Mac-loving #occupywallstreet summer campers that Apple is the most vertically integrated corporation on Earth
Apologies to RIM Corp. In noting #occupywallstreet activists are Apple Corp addled hipsters, I neglected large amount of Blackberry tweeting
Boston Globe asked “academics and longtime activists” about #occupywallstreet. Like asking union bosses if they like unions http://t.co/bpPr1VhO
“They sleep on air mattresses, use Mac laptops and play drums. Go to bathroom at local McDonald’s” http://t.co/bpPr1VhO
#occupywallstreet activists write manifesto complaining that corps “have sold our privacy as a commodity,” post it to Twitter and Facebook
Movement built around a TWITTER HASHTAG has manifesto blasting “selling privacy as commodity.” How precious is THAT?

Always been wary of romantic faux-revolutionary leftwing populism. But watching #occupywallstreet overthrow capitalism is making me rethink.
Can #occupywallstreet people tell me more about how short selling should be banned? It seems like such an insightful point!
