Via MR reader PS, a gallery of cats sleeping in boxes. Consider it something a followup to last month’s hit video of cats running up slides. And while I know you guys have been pushing for more baby sloths and baby otters, you have to realize that Sunday Cute is a place for domestic animals and their undomesticated cousins. Because if there’s one thing I want you to remember about Mere Rhetoric, it’s that we measure diversity by species representation, and not by any potentially hurtful evaluations of objective cuteness merit. Because this is a progressive blog.
I’m also been trying to regularly plug Mere Rhetoric sponsor Purchase Green – check out their eco-friendly synthetic grass, among other products – both in brain-melting animal cuteness posts and whenever I post hot Israeli chicks. That’s because Sunday Cute amd Israeli Hottie Wednesdays are some of the blog’s most popular features. They get much better traffic than, to take two random expamples, posts unpacking the terminal epistemological flaws of democracy-to-rogue engagement or the psychosocial dynamics of respectable antisemitism in media and foreign policy circles. And let me tell you how pleased I am about that.
All of which is to say, cats curled up in boxes. The full gallery is embedded as a 24-photo slideshow at the bottom, and before that there are 5 samples. Just to give you a sense of what the gallery might be about:
