Octopuses are notoriously intelligent, capable of such complex processing and behavior that some scientists insist they have a a rudimentary consciousness. They also turn out to be mischievous little fame whores, flooding aquariums because they think it’s funny and stealing cameras so they can produce self-directed indie films:

Obviously you don’t want to make octopuses unhappy, minimally because of that blue-ringed octopus thing but also because filmmakers can be such divas.
