$550 million in US aid including an unprecedented hundred million dollar infusion of direct aid achieved this:
The Al Kuds Mark of Honor, the PLO’s highest medal, will be given to two female terrorists who helped kill Israelis, Israel Radio reported Wednesday. Ahlam Tamimi, a Hamas affiliate serving a life sentence for driving the suicide bomber who exploded himself in the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem, killing at least half a dozen people, including a whole family and Amra Muna, who seduced Ophir Rahum over the Internet and then lured him to Ramallah where he was murdered, will both be awarded the medal. Conferring the Al Kuds Mark of Honor is decided at the discretion of the Palestinian Authority’s president, and he alone has the final say when choosing the Palestinians to be honored with the medal.
We’re beginning to suspect that the Palestinians might not be ready to renounce terrorism and recognize the legitimacy of the Jewish State. Further evidence for this suspicion – and proof positive that the next few months will be the best peace process evuh – came yesterday when the routine Palestinian barrage of mortars scored a direct hit on an Israeli house:
In addition, an Israeli home was hit as Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha, near the Gaza border, came under heavy mortar fire. No one was wounded, but the roof sustained mild damage. On Tuesday night, a Kassam rocket fired from Gaza landed in a western Negev neighborhood. No one was wounded and no damage was reported.
Indiscriminately lobbing rockets at civilian targets is always what happens right before peace. Right?
