Palestinians Greet Bush By Burning Flags, Producing Crappy Photoshop

That sound you hear is the din of conspiracy-maddened genocidal lunatics erupting with vicious resentment. Let’s get these people a state shall we:

Thousands of Palestinians in Gaza staged protests against George W. Bush on Wednesday, burning Bush in effigy and underscoring the deep political split with West Bank moderates who welcomed the visit of the US president as an important gesture to the Palestinians. Supporters of Hamas chanted “Death to America,” and burned US and Israeli flags. A shadowy al-Qaida-inspired group appeared in public for the first time with rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers, and uttered vague threats against US targets.

Which do you think is a greater sign that they’re ready for a peaceful state living side by side with Israel – burning the Israeli flag because they reject the idea or burning the American flag because they reject even talking about the idea? It’s quite the semiotic quandary. If only we could get them to use their hackneyed Photoshop skills for good instead of evil:

Ready for peace

Incidentally, you know how that AP article says that West Bank Palestinians – at least – are somewhat excited about Bush’s visit? Yeah, that’s not technically “true”. But wouldn’t it be great if it was?
