Our donation buttons are apparently too unattractive to click on, so we have to go teach class for a while. Here are the rest of the morning’s headlines in link dump form:
* Abbas ‘disappointed’ by Olmert’s stance ahead of Mideast parley. Poor baby.
* The IAEA says not to put pressure on Iran. Because apparently they might do something crazy like threaten to wipe out Israel or something.
* Syria preparing for guerrilla war on Israeli soil. Earlier this summer they were talking about taking on the IDF in the battlefield and the IAF in the skies. Wonder what happened to that idea.
* Two environmentalists have come up with some practical ideas to save the planet. Naturally, they’ve been ostracized by the mainstream environmental movement. Because if we fix things, then we might not be able to fundraise by scaring people. And then where would we be?
* At this point, John McCain should consider personally bribing Mel Gibson to make another movie. We’ve never understood why some people seem to thrive on being offended, but there it is.
* Reminder: Jeri Thompson is not a trophy wife. Open sexism from ostensible feminists aside.
