Hey You Know What? Screw Hamas

This morning Hamas was all like God is great because he helped us kill some Jews…

Hamas made no effort to distance itself from the attack with a spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum, declaring: “We consider this a victory from God for the resistance. We consider the resistance as the legitimate right of the Palestinians to defend themselves and restore their rights.”

… and this evening they’re all like oh no the Jews might actually defend themselves:

Hamas began evacuating most of its security installations and civilian offices in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, in anticipation of an IDF offensive in response to the rocket attack on its Zikim training base… almost all of Hamas’s major institutions, including the prime minister’s office, had also been deserted for the same reason. Palestinian journalists said Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders had been advised to stay away from their homes, while others had gone underground… Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders praised the Kassam attack on Zikim, saying it was a “natural response to Israeli atrocities” against the Palestinians. They called the attack “the dawn of victory” and vowed to continue firing rockets into Israel.

Genocidal lunatics are never more pathetic than when they’re making empty boasts about their grandiose power. You can be quite sure that the Palestinians will be urgently whining petulantly for international assistance the second that Israel launches a counter-strike. That’s what always happens – Egypt or Syria or the Palestinians threaten to push the Jews into the sea and wash the streets of Tel Aviv with Jewish blood. They boast of glorious victory in the name of Allah. They tell the rest of the world to stay out of the way. And then when they get their opportunity to put a final end to Israel they start losing – and they end up crawling from door to door begging Europe and the US to “stop the Israeli aggression”. It’s what happened in the War of Independence. It’s what happened in the Six Day War. It’s what happened in the Yom Kippur War. It’s what happened in Lebanon II. And it’s what will happen here. They’re like seething and resentful children who are too twisted and pathetic to even be good bullies – despite the myriad of opportunities and do-overs that the international community allows them.
