The Death Of Theo Van Gogh [Video]

In between the oceans and oceans of utter drivel, some of the stuff that’s being posted to YouTube is just stunning. Film-maker Noah Fischer, in residency at the Hague, has created a narrative loosely based around Theo Van Gogh’s life, using only paintings done by Theo’s great-granduncle Vincent:

The story is loosely about Theo Van Gogh (1957-2004) the Dutch filmmaker killed by a Muslim extremist. This is an animated narrative created totally from Vincent Van Gogh paintings (Theo was the great grandson of Vincent’s brother Theo). So it’s about time and national identity in a changing world too.

Visually fascinating:

We recently posted the full cut of Submission, the movie that got Theo Van Gogh murdered in the name of Islam.
