Israeli-Arab Fifth Column Watch – Israeli-Arab MK Mourns Creation Of Israel

Charming:

MK Dov Hikind (Hadash) MK Dov Khenin (Hadash) took part in a ceremony to commemorate the Nakba, or “catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the fleeing and or expulsion of Palestinians that took place with the founding of Israel in 1948. The ceremony took place in the village of Natush outside of Tireh and was attended by Jewish and Arab left-wing Israeli activists. Hikind stated at the rally, “The time has come for the state to recognize the existence of the Palestinian people and to acknowledge the tragedy they suffered. The time has come to heal the wounds that the state left on it’s (sic) Arab minority.”

Honestly, what are you going to say any more? He’s elected to represent Israeli citizens in an Israeli state that he promises to serve. That means that – at best – there’s a sizable portion of Israeli citizens who hate the State of Israel and want to see it destroyed. But that doesn’t stop them from running to the UN and screaming about discrimination whenever Israeli Jews don’t react quickly enough to their summoning snaps.

Obligatory Carter snark: we’ve been trying to track down records of black MPs in apartheid South Africa who, having helped move massive government subsidies and welfare toward the black sector, were allowed to publicly mourn the creation of the state in massive public ceremonies.

Update (14:23 PST):
Soccer Dad just pointed out to us that Brooklyn Democrat and Orthodox Jew Dov Hikind might be upset to know that he’s leading a double life as a viciously anti-Israel MK from a leftist Arab-Israeli political party. Long story short: it’s Ha’aretz’s fault…

That Isn't Very Nice

… and they’ve fixed it now. No acknowledgment of the correction, natch, but they’ve fixed it.
