Iran To Rule: Was There A Holocaust?

Happy Tuesday folks:

Conference to begin in Iran Monday, with participants from 30 nations pondering whether Holocaust happened. Iranians, who according to deputy foreign minister ‘can serve as neutral judges,’ will decide. Iran will host an international conference next week on the Holocaust, with the central question being whether or not it actually took place. At the conclusion of the conference, the Iranians will decide on the answer. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mohammadi convened a press conference Tuesday to elaborate on the event. If Iran is indeed convinced that the Holocaust took place, the next question will be how many Jews were murdered and why the Palestinians need to suffer because of an event that took place in Europe 60 years ago.

If they say no, everybody’s will say “well they always say no”. If they say “yes, but it’s been exaggerated – and the evil Zionists have used it to perpetuate a new Holocaust against the Palestinians,” everyone will say “look how reasonable they’re being – there is a chance for moderation! Let’s talk to them” Ahmadinejad is reaping the success of moving the spectrum of respectable dialogue so far into crazy territory that even the most odious comments – comments that by all rights should be beyond the pale of acceptable discourse – seem reasonable . And there are thirty nations (or as we like to call them, “thirty mendacious, anti-Semitic UN votes”) who are willing to help him create the thinnest veneer of legitimacy and fairness.
