Iran Clears Up Nuke Misunderstandings

Can you even believe that he can say this out loud:

Iranian chief envoy Ali Larijani told reporters Sunday that ‘many misunderstandings had been cleared up’ after six hours of negotiations in Vienna at the weekend in Iran-EU talks on Iran’s nuclear programme. The European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Javier Solana also described the talks as ‘worthwhile’ in a short statement after the talks ended Sunday. Talks were expected to resume in the coming week.

EU to Iran (firm but not rude): “We understand that you’re developing nukes to fire at European cities”

Iran to EU (the very picture of innocence): “Oh, no no no. We’re developing nukes to fire at Israeli cities”

EU to Iran (relieved laughter): “Oh. Well that’s different then. Thanks for clearning up this misunderstanding”
