Israel Successfully Tests Missile Defense

Israel took another step toward establishing a robust missile shield yesterday when an Arrow interceptor successfully intercepted and destroyed a Shahab-3 style missile mid-air. As if to explain why a small democratic state would need to be so obsessed with its own defense, on the same day it was also revealed that Russia and Iran had signed over $1 billion in weapons deals just in November. Iran, it turns out, is also trying to develop nuclear weapons.
