Canada Kind of Backs Israel in UN but Not Really

At first, we were very pleased to read about Canada’s diplomatic policy change – from not taking a side in the battle between a democratic state and those who pathologically hate it to voting with Israel in the United Nations. Unfortunately, Joseph Norland seems very persuasive on the point that that, if there has been a recent decision to treat Israel fairly, it must have been a very, very recent decision:

In fact, there has been no discernable change. For example, on Nov. 15 the UN voted on nine resolutions pertaining to Israel. Canada voted with Israel in one single instance, while voting with the Arab countries or abstaining in the other eight.

Like Charlie Brown kicking a football, we are to the news that fairness toward Israel might be spreading.
