Yuri Mrakadi charged with breaking contract to appear in 2003 film because he didn’t want to be type-cast as a Jew… The report said the dispute dates back to a 2003 mishap in which Mrakadi allegedly broke a contract to appear in Imsahal’s film “Kawalees” (Behind the Scenes) because the script called for the actor to portray a Jewish character. Mrakadi had allegedly taken part of his salary in advance as a down payment. Albawaba said Mrakadi argued he could not portray a Jew having released a song called “Arabion Ana” (I am an Arab).
He was so terrified that people would see him acting Jewish that he was willing to endanger his entire career – but we’re expected to believe that such people would stop hating Israel if Israel withdrew from some land that it conquered when such people tried to eradicate them 40 years ago.
