On the day when Jews finish expelling Jews from the Gaza Strip in a desperate bid to rid the Palestinians of yet another excuse to murder Israelis – which is not coincidentally the same day that ostensibly moderate Palestinians say there will be no peace unless Israel gives up more territory – London Mayor Ken Livingstone thinks he’s identified the real problem in the Middle East. Wouldn’t you know it, it’s Israel:
“I do not intend to attach labels to myself. Like many Israeli citizens, I believe the government of Ariel Sharon has done enormous damage to the cause of peace.
What he doesn’t mention is that today, most of those Israeli citizens are on the Right. Clearly in the last two months, the government of Ariel Sharon has been the one inflaming the Middle East conflict. Clearly.
If only there was a word for someone who always finds a way to blame Jews, even when the explanation is totally irrational.
