I really don’t understand why these people still have jobs. They’re paid to evaluate and predict what’s going on in foreign countries. So when something like this happens, you’d think that they would’ve seen it coming:

Bush’s appointment of Condoleezza Rice… she was involved in everything from the crafting of Bush’s now-famous June 24, 2002, speech calling for new Palestinian leadership and reforms as a prerequisite for a Palestinian state to the drafting of the letters Bush exchanged with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in April. “She won’t give the Palestinians any free passes,” one senior official commented.
But then you wouldn’t be thinking of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
